Volunteers are integral to the success of Tuscaloosa County School System! The first step to becoming a volunteer in the district is to successfully complete a background check.
To make this process quick and easy, we are working with a screening company that allows you to complete the background check online; information provided electronically can be securely transmitted to this company. The screening cost is $15 per application.

- Complete all fields,
- Use your legal name (as it appears on your Social Security card),
- Enter your current address, and
- Review your answers for accuracy and spelling.
